Abstract
This is the case report of a surgical closure of a ventricular septal defect, using extracorporeal circulation, in a 22 month old child with previous split-liver transplantation from his mother. The anesthetic tehnique and postoperative intensive care are presented, and the problems which must be taken into account when dealing with these complex cases are discussed.
