Epileptiform movements associated with propofol administration?

Abstract

In most cases, abnormal epileptiform activity related to anaesthesia with propofol is seen at first exposure to propofol. We present three patients, who in absence of any other predisposant pathological conditions, developed seizures after exposure to propofol. Two patients had seizure-like activity on their first certified exposure to propofol. The third patient presented prolonged epileptiform movements related to a probable re-exposure to propofol.
